I bought a bottle of BBQ sauce , can i cook the ribs with that?? or do i need to buy something else ? i have never made ribs before Thanks
To bake in the oven, wrap the ribs in aluminum foil along with whatever spices you like (I recommend just salt and pepper) and a little liquid to keep them moistApple juice is really good, beef stock, water, wine, or whatever you think will taste goodSeal up the foil into a little pouch and put it in the oven at 200- to 250-degrees for several hoursStart with 2-1/2 or 3 hours, and then take the ribs out and check themIf the meat has shrunk down, exposing the ends of the bones, and the bone turns easily in the socket (careful! it's hot!) the ribs are doneTake the ribs out of the foil and paint a good layer of barbecue sauce all over both sides, then put then on a baking sheet (put down a layer of foil on the sheet to save messy cleanup) and bake or broil them (or take them outside and grill them) for A FEW MINUTES to heat up the barbecue sauceBe very careful about the time, because the sugar in the sauce will caramelize and burn very quickly! Watch them closelySome people will tell you to boil the ribs first to tenderize themThis boils a lot of the flavor out of the meat so you can pour it down the drain with the water you boiled it inDo not boil your ribs.
