Question:

I tipped an ATV on vacation, he charged me 430 for repairs did he overcharge me?

He stated that ATV will need all of the fluids reflushed since it tipped which will cost 250 and I bent the rack on the vehicle which he stated will need replacing for 180 did he overcharge me for this ? I feel like I just got ripped off. I didn't know what to say ? He says he is going to email me the the invoices.

Answer:

Unfortunately the work NEEDS TO BE DONE--parts and labor are not cheap. The oil spilled into the filters---there is too much to write about---I don't think you got ripped off. At least you were not hurt--thats the important thing.
ATV parts and labor are very expensive. Heck I just put a $45 original equipment air filter on one of mine and re-did my rear brakes with after market parts and it still cost me a few hundred bucks for a caliper, rotor, pads and a cable. I cant imagine what it wouldve cost if I had someone else do the labor.
