My house was built in 1999 and I am wondering if the contractor did not put in wall insulation, do I have to insulate the walls when I replace the siding or can I still continue to have the walls without insulation? I dont want the contractor trying to upsell meI got along well without insulation for all these years because I am in a townhome so can a siding contractor make me get insulation or is it up to me whether i want to insulate my home? I live in New JErsey
I must respond to these questions about freezing plantsI don't know where you live, but in north east Ohio the last frost date is May 10thIf you are anywhere close to that area or farther north it is WAY too early to plant tomatoes, green peppers and the likeEven if you cover them they will freeze and consequently DIE! You just wasted your money and your timeCheck with your local garden shop and ask them when the last frost date for your area is.
Where do you live? What is the last frost date for your area? I bet that you planted these tender plants too soon! (The potatoes will probably be OK)Just because you see tomatoe/pepper plants at your local hardware store does not necesarily mean that it is time to plant them! I live in California and won't be planting mine until early May.
Welcome to global warming, when the temperatures are fickle and most seasonal perdictions are out of dateI covered my tomatoes with pine needles and a plant bucket and they survived the last frost.
Pepper plants can't take much cold, neither can tomato plantsThe potato plants are probably OK, just burned back from the freezeYou may need to reset your tomato plants and I'll bet the peppers are toastSorryBuy a few more and see what happens to the ones that frozeMaybe Spring will be here to stay soon.
