Question:

Can I still drive my car if I accidentally overfilled my transmission fuel?

The only consequences of my mistake was that my car‘s transmission fuel only leaked a pint amount and I‘ve wasted about $4 but my car was running fine, the temperature was good in between cold and hot and my gear stick still shifts fine.

Answer:

Transmissions aren't supposed to be leaking at all. And if the overfill of the transmission fluid caused a leak when the transmission pressurized the fluid, the leak isn't going to magically go away. The transmission pressurizes the fluid in order for it to change and engage gears. The increase of pressure plus the excess fluid can cause problems for the transmission. I would remove the excess transmission fluid and have your transmission inspected for seal/gasket leaks. If one is present, your transmission will continue to leak fluid.
Depends entirely on the transmission. All will experience some foaming in pan. A pint over is nothing. A full quart can be harmful to those with clutch packs. You can pull out from the same fill tube. Use a large battery fill bulb and a hose long enough to reach. Sucks it right out.
the transmission has nothing to do with the cooling system ! overfilling can lead to seals and gasket leaking and the transmission slipping ! it,s better for it to be a little low then too full !
