can i use 2 broadband connections on one PC?

i have a road runner cable broadband in my house, it broke down and disconnected at least 5 times or more in a day, few days ago it disconnected for 12 hours, i can't even finish my project without the internet, it wasted me a lot of timefinally i decided to get a verizon DSL broadband just in case to be backupi just want to know whether i'm able to connect 2 broadband in a same pc or i need some switcher or else?yes or no? how it works?
