Question:

Can I use aluminum foil to cook meat rather than a pan or skillet?

As ghetto as this soundsbut I'd basically be putting aluminum foil on top of the stove to represent like a pan or skillet or something and then put like steak on top of it so it can cookCan you do that if you don't own a pan or anything? lol

Answer:

I wouldn't use it on a stove but you can use it in the ovenI think the aluminum foil wouldn't hold up being placed directly onto the heat source When we are camping we use aluminum foil to cook over the camp fireThrow veggies and meat on it and wrap it up and then set it on a couple hot logs and cook for awhileI know we use the same technique for the grill and for the ovenThe aluminum foil never touches the heat source directlyIts always sitting on a rack or on logs.
You should always place the food on the non-shiny side of foilThe shiny side of tinfoil is the outsideAny cook will tell you this.
