I am thinking about installing this type of insulation in my basement, in between the floor joistsIt is currently insulated, just with horrible looking bats of fiberglass insulation with a paper backi'm not big on how it covers everything and gives a place for mice to hideI thought a painted rigid insulation would look better because i would like my basement to not appear so basement-like, i guessHas anyone ever heard of someone doing this? Would i achieve the results that i am looking for? (basically a cleaner appearance and good insulating qualities) If so, what thickness or r-value should i go for? or is this just a dumb idea? Thanks
