No, and don't use WD-40 either. Go to the skate shop and they should have Bones version of WD-40 specially made for bearings.
whan i clean my bearings i put them in rubbing alcohol and it seems just fine to me it does not rust them or anything like that or make them go slower
after buying all that you should have lots of instructions to read if you want to be cheap, you can go from the back side of the bearing and put two drops of speed cream one last tip, you can pop the shields off with a sewing pin from the back side of the bearing i don't think rubbing alcohol is best for the job
Ditto on the don't use WD-40 and definitely don't put cooking oil on your bearings unless you want to be a crud magnet. Rubbing alcohol should be fine for cleaning, but you'll definitely need to lube the bearings with a high quality bearing grease from your local sports/skate shop. Without the lube, the bearings will be clean, but the metal against metal will cause them to wear out way too quickly. Good luck!
