I wanna clean and lubricate my longboard bearings. Can I soak them in Mr.Clean to get the dirt out, or would that cause damage to my bearings?
Mr. Clean is water based, it will cause the bearings to rust. Use a solvent based cleaner. I use denatured alcohol. Once the bearings are clean, use a skateboard bearing lubricant.
never tried it, but the best known cleaners are paint thinner, denatured alcohol, acetane, stuff like that. you'll also want to you some very low viscosity lubricant of some kind. spray stuff and creams usually work the best.
