Question:

Can LCD monitors leak radiation?

I heard faulty CRTs can leak lots of radiation if faulty. I don't mean liquid, but radiation. Can LCD leak radiation too? My monitor is like from 2007-2008 (Estimating due to the fact it has a vista sticker on it)

Answer:

No radiation released by a working or faulty LCD monitor is harmful.
There is nothing to radiate. LCD's do not leak radiation.
No, there is no component in an LCD monitor that produces any kind of radiation, let alone leak it. LCD monitors are perfectly safe. And yes, it's true that CRT's do leak radiation, and not only faulty ones, ALL of them do, especially when switched ON and OFF. It's equivalent to having an low intensity x-ray taken if you're close to the monitor. Real dangerous things. And in use they constantly emit radiation. ?
