can police officers work security in bars in new yok state?
No,The SLA says no.But there are a lot of parking lots that are adjacent to the bar.A PO can work the parking lot.They can not check ID or work in a bar. If you are a cop who wants to work the bar,don't do it.If you are someone that got into trouble w/ a cop that was working the bar then,sorry u got into trouble but usually the cop wasn't the one drinking the bar patrons were. Don't try and blame the copper for you(or your friends) actions.Man up. If u r a copper then like I said Don't do it .You will probably work lots of times w/out incident but there will always be the drunk who doesn't care that u are a cop.Eventually u WILL get jammed up.Work ot instead.
