its a worcester bosch thermotechnik combination boiler 24 cdi rsf. The problem is the pressure gauge is at its maximum and water is constantly dripping from the overflow pipe leading to the outside wall. i have bled the radiators enough to drop the pressure down a bit but it will slowly rise to the max(5 bar) usually on 1.5 bar. Ps it is not affecting the hot water or central heating yet but im worried it will. Any suggestions? Thanks very much.
First check that your city eater makeup is not bleeding by Second, is this the first time it's been started this season? If so you are heating water that is cold. Warm water expands and with no where to go the relief will lift. If that te case simply open the boiler blowdown valve slightly as the boiler is running to allow the system to expand. Once the water get up to temp make sure your boiler pressure is within it's normal operating range. You may also need to have your expansion tank checked out. Hope this helps
If the pressure keeps rising, then the filling loop is still open and allowing water back into the system. Sht the valve on the filling loop then reduce the pressure by either bleeding a rad, or open a drain off point.
If the central heating part is a sealed system it could be the mains water connection used to fill the system is still connected and not fully turned off.
