Can stainless steel be chrome plated?
Improve the hardness of stainless steel. Especially austenitic stainless steel hardness is low, although corrosion resistance is good, but not wear-resistant, and therefore need to be plated hard chromium, in order to improve hardness, increase wear resistance, and prolong service life.

Improve rust resistance. Martensitic stainless steel in stainless steel, such as 2Cr13, 3Cr13, 9Cr18, 9Cr18MoV, Cr17Ni2 and other chromium containing more than 12% (WT), but does not contain nickel or a small amount of nickel stainless steel, in the atmosphere will change color and corrosion. In order to improve corrosion resistance, decorative chromium or hard chromium can be plated.
