My car has been acting strange lately such as sputtering and not catching gears properly that‘s why I ask about the transmission.
if ur's is a manual maybe ur letting off the clutch too fast after changing gears or not pushing it down far enough u need to push the clutch full way down and let off gently
Transmission trouble may have thrown off something in the motor which causes rough starts, but a bad tranny alone will not affect starting.
Its an ignition timing issue.
