Question:

Can you wash &dry clean only& comforters in the washing machine?

There is no beadwork or anything special. It is not a down comforter either.

Answer:

yeah thats what i do...just make sure to dry it through cuz it takes longer than other blankets and such. also, when your drying it, halfway through the drytime take it out and just change the position it is or else it dry all of it.
If it is a down yes go ahead and wash it, i do it all the time, even if it says to dryclean down u need to wash it cause the chemicals from the drycleaning will kill you..what kind of material is it?
I work in a Dry Cleaner's so i do know that you can wash SOME comforter's that say &dry clean& only...The part that is dangerous for your comforter is the dryer,if you have cording around your comforter it will shivle up and lose it's shape.
examine the bathing classes on the comforter. some say &do now not dry sparkling&, others say &dry sparkling in basic terms.& in case you have not got a huge washer, and that's cleanable, bypass to a laundrymat. Spray first with some vinegar-water, in any different case you would be able to nicely be waiting to bleach if that's all white. There would desire to be a tag on a nook someplace.
I have washed my &dry clean only& comforter in my washing machine....but my comforter was a twin size. Make sure your item can fit into the wash basin without jamming it in.....and make sure that if it gets destroyed in the wash that you're fine with that. You could also take it to the laundromat...most laundromats have 1 or 2 commerical sized machines (its best not to go on weekends though...as they're usually all taken) and launder it there. I've also used Dry Cleaner's Secret to &dry clean& items in the dryer at home. Its also a good idea to throw a new, clean tennis ball in with comforters, blankets or pillows when in the dryer. Helps keep the fluff!
