Question:

Car fell of lift at a shop?

I got me a 64 douce and a quarter took it in for an oil change and it fell off the lift. The shop refuses to pay because I had an 18 pack on the passenger side and they said that caused the un-eveness. I also removed the wiper blade from the left side of the vehicle, can these two items cause a car to fall off a lift and am I responsible?OH YEAH I FORGOT GO ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS

Answer:

Nope. They are full of it! They have shop insurance. They put it up too quickly without making sure that it was secure. They are in too much of a rush. It should cost them. Go for it and don't be intimidated.
The shop is responsible for the damage to your car. It would not have happened if they put it on the lift the correct way in the first place.
they are trying to screw you what about all the trucks with a 30 gallon fuel tank on one side. and they blamed it on an 18 pack what a joke HA HA I have never had a car fall off a lift, if they used the lift correctly your car would not have fallen and your a** would not be hurting from being screwed
