Question:

Car pulls to the right as I accelerate & shakes along with the shifter?

its a 2007 corvette z06 with 37xxx miles. When im on the freeway in 6th gear, the car will jerk to the right everytime I accelerate. Also, while driving on a street the stick shift started shaking violently and the entire car started shaking with it, this would stop if I was rolling in neutral or if I just let go of the gas pedal and would start again as I accelerated. If I kept accelerating while the car was shaking, it would eventually stop shaking and then shake again after I shifted into the next gear. What the hell?

Answer:

Wheel alignment? Run a couple tests T1: You say it will shake in 6th and jerk to the right when you accell, but will it do it when you leave it in gear and step on the clutch? If you say no then I have no idea what the **** is going on LMFAO - some squid called your corvette a FWD
Rule of thumb is that if a car experiences BOTH shaking defaulty driving problems then it is usually a slipping tranny. A broken motor mount wouldn't explain the shifting while driving Then the balancing of the wheels wouldn't explain the shaking unless you have multiple problems which in this case would be better then the tranny.
Just check all of the suspension components. The two problems of pulling on acceleration and intermittent severe vibrations may or may not be related. I haven't personally looked underneath a C6, or a C5 for that matter, but I do know previous model Vettes use an independent rear suspension. The differential carrier is mounted to the chassis of the car and tied to the transmission with a brace to help eliminate rotational torque of the drive train on heavy acceleration. If any of these things are not mounted securely, this could cause a vibration if the drive shaft gets too far off center and could also cause what's known as torque steer on acceleration. If everything is tight, check all your universal and CV joints, wheel bearings, control arms and bushings, etc. . The best way to check all of this is by getting the car up on a lift. Be cautious when lifting the car by the frame like from a two-post lift, especially if it is not a solid top car. I've seen and heard about targa tops being cracked or broken, door hinges and latches being damaged, and windshields and body panels being damaged due to flexion of the car by lifting it from improper points. I'd recommend a dealership or someone who is quite familiar with these cars. Oh and by the way, an improper wheel alignment cannot cause a vibration. And I forgot to mention the possibility of a ABS or Trac Cont malfunction causing the pull. Have your brakes and wheel balance checked as well. There is most likely something wrong that can be detected by a good inspection.
