Ceiling / wall speakers acoustic performance?

I heard that when mounting ceiling or wall speakers you'll get better sound acoustics and speaker performance if you insert insulation or some other type of baffeling material to help tune the speakerAnyone ever tried this? Does it help?

for the cleanest look, I would go with ceiling speakersthe lower ceiling will make it sound greatBe sure and add some additional insulation so the up stairs people will not hear every word the TV has to say
