Hi,Where are ceramics used in road cars?? I only know of high performance disc brakes. I‘m looking for something more road car. If someone can list them I would be grateful.Thanks,
Lots of ceramic applications in cars. Almost every car has: + Spark plug insulators + Catalytic converter supports and heat shielding + Oxygen sensors + Daytime running light resistors + Permanent magnets in motors for things like seats, power windows Some high-performance cars additionally have: + Ceramic brake pads + Ceramic coatings on engine parts: valves, turbochargers and cylinder liners (Automotive capacitors are probably not ceramic. These are used for military applications only)
