Question:

ceramic braces? HELP! 10 points easyyyyyy?

Okay so im getting bracs and want to know about ceramic braces. Are they really all that visible or no? and can you tell from close up or not?

Answer:

Ceramic braces are certainly less noticable than metal braces but people can still tell you have braces on. You will also want to make sure you keep them very clean so that the brackets don't pick up stain around them. The wires used are usually metal so they will be visible. Although tooth colored coated wires are available. You maybe a candidate for treatment with clear aligners such as Invisalign. Talk to your dentist about alternatives. For the best answers, search on this site shorturl.im/awEW4 My Geek changes the oil in our cars. I think he could do it in less than 10 minutes (you'd think with 2 engineering degrees he could do almost anything in under 10 minutes). but it takes him an hour. I think he just likes the time away from the family. Plus he takes a moment to select the areas on his arms and face to rub grease so it looks like he was working really hard. I pretend to feel sorry for him.
HAHAHAHAHHAHA!! Thats me!!!! :-) I can change the oil in my car in about 15 minutes, but I have SUCH a problem with those snap on windshield wiper blades! I don't know why it's SO frustrating! I have to get help from my little brother it's embarrassing! :-) ** how did you know of my shame!
My orthodontist told me the ceramic braces are for older people and you will only need them if your teeth are not that bad or anything. Depends on your age I guess.
I'm getting my braces put on Monday. My treatment coordinator showed me some pics of past patients with the ceramic braces and they are noticeable but not like traditional braces. From a distance it looked more like a retainer or something. I'm going to go ahead and have ceramics put on top (I'm 26 and work in a busy office so I thought that would be a better choice for me). They are putting traditional metal braces on the bottom.for some reason my ortho won't put ceramic on the bottom. I'm excited and nervous all at the same time! Good luck on making your decision.
