I paid for Ceramic braces; however, when the orthodontist was installing my braces he put ceramic on my full top teeth and some on my bottom front and then my molars he put metal brackets. He told me something like they didn‘t make ceramic for bottom molars. So now i‘m a bit confused because I‘m thinking he told me that so he could save on costs. Opinions please.

I would think the ceramic ones would break easy? If you paid for them then tell him you want them. But he might be right. Remember you bottem teeth take more of the punishment when you chew. (I had braces for 4yrs) They didn't have ceramic ones then. I am 39. I had them back in 1989. When you think about it. Maybe he is right.Think of how you bite Down. I have done alot of damage to my teeth over the yrs because I clinch my teeth when I go into seizures. So I really clinch my jaw tight. sometimes I grind them too. but it is due to my condition. See if you can have him explain it to you a little more thourghly
