Ceramic coating or exhaust heat wrap?Which one works better for controlling heat and is more cost effective?

Getting some headers ceramic coated or should i use the exhaust heat wrap? The headers will be getting wet and muddy.Which one works better at controlling heat, and more cost effective? Thanks.

Answer:

Try an apricot color, its not peachy but not orange either and it'll keep within that Tuscan color look.
Clay pot color.kinda like terra cotta.looks great for any kitchen, but esp. great for Tuscan themes. Or try light chocolate brown with cream colored streaks in it. You can apply this technique with an extra skinny paint brush.
Contact the ceramic coater see what where warranty is If none that you see how good it isThe wrap is hard to get on and stay onthen if not Stainless steel headers the will rust away as they get wet hold the water
We had a Peterbilt. with a C15 Cat that would keep causing the ECU to reset due to it being mounted near the turbos, and overheating. we fabricated a cover, and had it ceramic coated. and worked great. lowered the temp in the unit by about 70%. But that is my only personal experience with the stuff. hope it helps - Good Luck!
ceramic coated ones inside and out are the best but there going to look bad after you get them in the mud and water.
