1996 toyota corolla with a transmission that has only drive and park no nuteral and no reverse. I am wanting to turn it into a pony stock and run it at my local dirt track. I was wondering if i need a new transmission or if i can still use this one. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.
if it drives, drive it like you stole it!!!!! if you're a serious contender at your local dirt track, I would invest in something a little more reliable.
No Neutral? as in you put it in neutral it drives forward? that should coincide with if you put it in reverse it locks and will not move either direction, totally toasted transmission - the forward clutch is welded. Possibly repairable, but requires tear down to determine if it can be salvaged.
