I was just curious, is there someone who could point me in the direction of where I can get a fire alarm panel for free or really cheap (preferably online, besides )? I am not looking for a huge panel that could control the Empire State Building and Sears Tower fire alarm systems combined, I just want something that I can code alarms with, a panel that has a simple instruction manual and that is easy to wire, and that I can drill the system and silence it whenever necessary. If you or anyone you know has a panel that they would be willing to give up for little or no price, please email me at bnsfkid2007yahoo with any information you have about it. Also, where can I get more signals and pull stations (preferably horn/strobes and T-bars, and again, not on )? Any information you have relating to the question will be helpful. Thank You! :D
Yes, it IS dangerous to be standing in the rain with a lightning rod in your hands. Water conducts electricity.
Lighting rods on the tops of buildings are made of graphite. I think you know what most fishing rods are made of. Yep! the same thing. I don`t want to tempt fate.Lighting will seek the highest point. If you are in the middle of a lake just sitting in the boat YOU are the highest point. If on top of that you are waving around a ft. rod..Well.
the wet line will conduct the jolt that will stop your breathing, that is until you realize you were knocked out of the boat and are not floating but on the bottom. Now I will fish in the rain and I do often but I will not fish in lightening. I leave that alone and wait to hear that god needed to thin the heard, so to speak
The NTFS file system is advantageous only to the Windows family of Operating Systems, but when used with those, they have these benefits over a traditional FAT or FAT32 partition: -Journaling (Quick, safe and automatic crash recovery, no more ScanDisk) -Large files and drives (over 127GB) -Automatic file encryption and compression (Windows XP) -Supports RAID arrays (Multiple hard disks acting as one for higher efficiency) The main disadvantage is that NTFS is not natively compatible with any other operating system than Windows. (There are read-only drivers for Linux and experimental write drivers)
Some fire hydrants in big cities are located under steel covers in the street, so they don't get knocked over or otherwise in the way when not in use.
