Question:

Chelated iron?

What is chelated iron and how does it differ from the regular iron pills at the supermarket? Is it safe for anyone to take? I noticed the chelated iron is only sold at the health food store. Is chelated iron safe for someone with a very sensitive digestive system to take?

Answer:

I guess it goes along the same lines as the people that lose ONE shoe going down the road. How do you lose ONE shoe and wouldnt you stop and go back and get it? If I had one and broke down, yes I would. It signals the cops to now tow it immediatly and you will be back to remove it soon. I cant afford tow bills.
Wow that question was random I'd probably have one because you see whenever the universe realizes that someones car is broken down a white shirt materealizes for that person! Duh! You really need to read a science book or something!
Lol. My speculation is this. Most people that have cars that break down a lot are the ones that can't afford the nicer cars. Maybe most of them work more labor-intensive jobs and happen to have a undershirt on?
Chelated' just means that it was chemically bonded to a compound (generally an amino acid) to make the mineral more easily absorbed throughout the body.
Chelation is the pharmaceutical process of bonding a mineral to an amino acid to make it easier for the body to digest, assimilate and utilize it. Chelated minerals, or chelates for short, are designed to mimic the way minerals occur naturally in the diet as well. Chelated iron, while not as widely known as iron sulfate, is ten to fifteen times more bioavailable per mg than other types of dietary iron supplements.
