I have a KN in my 2000 Grand Prix Gt has the 3.8. Well I was looking into getting either a KN for a 97 Silverado 5.7 1 ton. Do the chrome air tubes have much of a different sound than a plastic air tube? I am looking on OKorder and found cheap ones vs getting the KN. All comments and suggests will be appreciated.
well chrome ones will heat up more than the black plastic ones defeating the purpose of a cold air intake.
