Question:

Cleaning dry grout off of tile?

are there any products made for removing grout off of tile because we forgot to clean the grout off of our tile and it dried over night and now its hard and is stuck pretty well. does anyone know of any acids or anything made for this?

Answer:

Just use a razor blade to carefully scrape it off. You don't need to buy anything special.
Get down on your hands and knees with a nylon pot scrubber.. Mop well as you go with plain water.. It will come off.. Promise..
use a small palm sander. Do not take it all the way down to the tile. Just 90% of the way and use goof off to finish it off. Good Luck
go into Wickes and you will desire to purchase a bottle of Tile Grout air purifier. approximately ?7.ninety 9. Use rubber gloves and use it neat. confirm you employ a fabric because of fact the dye will come out of the sponge. do no longer purchase the comparable product from BQ cos it would not works. I had to apply it as quickly as and Wickes' did the interest. Pour it on and watch the grout bubble and use a fabric and water. no longer sturdy smelling or very acidic. merely positioned on some marigolds. you will discover that using some thing metallic will go away gray marks on the tiles, SO do no longer USE A BLADE.
Did a lot of tiling with my father...and id be the one who would have to clean. This is wut u do. Take a 5 gallon bucket or just any bucket. Fill it with warm water. Take a big sponge and wash the tile. you are going to have to do this a lot of times. probably about 5 times. if there are big pieces of grout, u should be able to pick it off with your finger. DONT USE A RAZOR! you will scratch the tile. just warm water n a sponge. change your water frequently and make sure ur sponge is clean!
