Answer:

This is a big deal!! You need to contact a company who is knowledgeable in bee removalI manage condominium associations (I am in SW Florida) and we have had a couple with similar problemsWhat happens is the bees build a hive in the wallWe had one unit that was so bad honey was oozing through the drywall! You also must make sure they close up the entry (they get in very small holes) and remove the comb if possible because other bees will take up residence in the empty comb Good Luck!!!!!!
INGREDIENTS: 3 eggs, beaten 1 1/2 cups sugar 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted 4 teaspoons fresh lemon juice 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 1/2 Cups of minced pumpkin 1 1/3 cups grated coconut (3 ounce can) pinch salt 1 unbaked pie pastry, 9-inch PREPARATION: Preheat oven to 350°Combine eggs, sugar, butter, lemon juice, vanilla, and salt; mix wellStir in coconut and pumpkin; pour into pie shell and bake for 30 minutesShield the crust edge with a pie shield ring or fashion one with aluminum foil and place over edgeBake for 10 to 20 minutes longer, until set and no longer jigglyAs the pie bakes, a golden topping forms on the surfaceChill thoroughly before servingThe pie will be gooey if served at room temperatureServes 6.
The exact same thing recently happened in my grandma's home.and the bees were munching their way into her living room! They got ladders and went around to where they were coming in from and sprayed the hole full of Raid (or some other bee killer), then plugged it with that expandable foam you mentionedFrom what I've heard, they haven't had a problem sinceBest of luck to you!
Can Bees Eat Through Walls
Sounds like you have wood BeesGet into your attic when the weather turns cold.I do mean cold! like 30 degrees or lower for a few daysYou might want to turn off the heat in your bedroom for a day or two, tootake plastic bags with you and have a friend help youFind the place where you think they areWith a gloved hand start pulling out the nestWhile you're there look around to see where they are getting inhand your friend the closed bags and get them out of the houseIf you can find the hole they are using, put caulk on the holeBut you could call a pest control company.Let them get rid of them for you, But you will still have to caulk the hole(s).
