Blot the area with a clean, white cloth to absorb all the liquid you can. Blot from the outside of the stain in to avoid spreading the stain. Mix 1 teaspoon clear, mild liquid dish washing detergent with 1 cup lukewarm water. Sponge the area with the detergent solution. Blot again with a clean, white cloth. Mix 1/3 cup white vinegar with 2/3 cup lukewarm water. Sponge the area with the vinegar solution. Blot with a clean, white cloth. Sponge the area with clean water. Blot with a clean, white cloth. If you have a bottle of hydrogen peroxide it can be safely used to clean coffee stains from the carpet. pour it on the stain, and let it soak an hour. There will be no need to rinse it. After an hour put some paper towels on the stain and place a heavy object on the paper towel. It will draw the peroxide to the paper towel.Peroxide is very inexpensive and will not stain your carpet.Good luck.
Preen carpet stain remover ~ you just spray it on, leave it for about 1 minutes and then use a dry cloth and using a circular movement rub gently on the stain and it should come off ~ good luck :)
