Question:

Colonoscopy in 18 days-should I prepare now?

Should I be bulking up on fiber now, so the Moviprep isn't so horrific? I'm terrified of the unknown, btwShould I be?

Answer:

If you are going to cook it on a grill Don't put it in the oven, it is just a waste to get the grill fired up just to mark steakBut you can borwn a steak in a skillet then finish under the Broiler.
get the marks on it, oven for 20 mins
I had a colonoscopy recently myself and used MoviPrep for it as wellThe MoviPrep will clean you out pretty good no matter what, so it's not completely necessary that you begin prepping nowThough, if you're super scared about being on the safe side, a few days before you go in for the colonoscopy, you may want to start eating lighter foods that won't weigh you downI know that at least two days prior to mine, I was really nervous about eating too much of anything, just because I didn't want to have tons and tons of waste to eliminate during my day of prepAs for the actual procedure itself, DON'T WORRY AT ALL!!! It goes relatively smooth and you barely feel anything at all, especially since they will use light sedatives to make you relax, if they don't put you to sleep all togetherThe nurses are usually pretty good about giving you lots of blankets and things to make sure you don't feel so naked during the procedure eitherHonestly, the day before when you are having to drink that awful MoviPrep solution and nothing but clear liquids is really the worst part of the entire experience!
Interesting, I've done it the other way aroundBaked the steak on 325 for about 20 minutes then on the grill (or under the broiler)Bake it less or more depending on how well you like your meatPat your steaks dry before cooking, they brown up better!
Hi: Usually I cook my steaks on a grill for a hour flip it with some tong about one every 10 minutes and serve them without heating them in the oven or I leave it in the oven for a one and flip with some tongs when it half way done i hope this helps.
