Anyone know what a COMB connector on a motherboard is used for? I am thinking it can be used for an external USB bracket, but can it be used to add firewire as well, via a bracket or something?
You know it sometimes helps if you put down the model number of the Gigabyte board as well!?
COMB is a second serial communication port, found as an internal header connector, on Gigabyte motherboards. The first is COMA, which is the common RS232 port connector, on the rear IO panel (all PCs have this connector). I think these ports are referred to as COM1 and COM2, in windows software. The terminology is a bit confusing.
