Does any one know the easiest and most effective method of draining a suspected blocked primary heat exchanger for the boiler? any advice would be appreciated, thanks.
I suspect it is time to replace the boiler it must have had a leak in the system for a long period of time,it should never take on water once filled and purged, replacing water constantly will build up minerals, such as in a water heater.
Why do you think its blocked? Is it very old? Is the Flow control paddle broken? It's a pain in the azz to remove most heat exchangers but can be done. Remember if u remove it, You will need new gaskets for the install.
