I think somewhere around 3 or 4 months ago I, I bought a Nintendo Wi-Fi USB connector. I read the instructions and installed everything carefully, and it worked fine. Today though, when I tried to connect to Wi-Fi with my DS, it connected, and some seconds after that it disconnected again, and it gave an error. I went to my connection settings and checked if everything was allright, it recognized the connector, but when it tested the connection the same thing as earlier happened, then after a while (an hour or so) I tried it again and this time it didn't recognize the connector at all. I tried to reinstall the connector but it didn't work, and I'm not really sure what to do next. I think I still have a warranty so I could bring it back to the shops, but I just don't understand why it acts so strange. Is anyone else having the same problem, that it connects and then disconnects and errors?
Doesn't the DS have an internal WiFi connector? Are you talking about the Wii? Since the device is less than a month old, take it back to the place you bought it and exchange it for a new one. At least then you'll know for sure. If you can't do that for some reason, try it in a friend's Wii and see if it works there. Hopefully you didn't damage your Wii's USB interface.
*swap your firewall off *deploy the CD for the USB *after installation, click on the icon *click your wii console call (the nickname you named it) *it could determine that it is your wii *then try connecting to the information superhighway returned *turn on your firewall
