Question:

constant brake light on motorcycle?

I have a sukida sk 125-5 patriot sport model, and i seem to have a constant brake light? does anyone know why this is and how to fix it? the brakes all work as they should do, but the brake light is constantly on, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Answer:

You should let a mechanic check that. DOnt play with things like that can be dangerouse.
Yep, brake light switch. However, you might have one on the front brake, also.
Either the front or rear light switch is sticking. Disconnect a wire from the switches, one at a time, to determine which one is at fault. Then use a bit of electrical contact cleaner on it. Sees if that frees it up. If not, it's only about a $10 part. Sorry Jim, I hit the wrong thumb.
The brake light switch is jammed or broken. You should be able to find it under the brake pedal as when you push the brake it pushes the switch down,it could be jammed with dirt, give it a clean and see how it goes
