Question:

Copper Hairbrush?

I was wondering if a hair brush made of copper actually did kill dandruff? Thats what it claims.

Answer:

Some dandruff can be the result of a yeast-like fungus called malassezia that naturally lives on the scalps of healthy adults without causing problems. To a small extent, copper may act to kill malassezia as copper has antimicrobial properties include acting as a fungicide. However, I had a dandruff problem I would not relay on a copper hair brush for treatment. There are many more proven treatments available.
