Question:

Cost for replacing front wheel bearings, hub and an alignment?

I went to Les Schwab and got my car checked out after I heard a clicky noise. I told them to check the bearings. They did and said they needed replacing and were in bad shape. They called me and gave me a quote for $500. Is that too much for replacing the wheel bearings, hub and an alignment?

Answer:

you can buy bearing, hub and alignment and ask for fitting in the garage. check the sources for your requirements

well i don't know what your driving. so it may vary. USD. wheel bearings, may go for 40-80 each hubs can really vary in price. 40+- for after markets, in excess of 100 for oem. alignment will run 80(?) at les schwab. then there's labor. 60-80+-. so just parts, averaging, bearings, 100 for two / hubs 100 for two / alignment 80. labor for three hours(prolly takes more than three) 160. total 440. maybe 60 over. but then there's tax. but not knowing what you have......... summary, i'd say it might be a little high, but, les schwab has excellent customer service. they are always a little high, but IMO the service, even after the job, makes it well worth it. i use 'em.
$300-350
