Answer:

if it has leaks than it should be replaced. if you have copper piping replace with copper, it will last longer than the rest of the piping. when you decide to convert to PVC then that is the time to do it. Patching copper with PVC could be a headache.
you need to replace the whole section. you fix one, another will pop up before long. pvc is fine. use a dresser coupling on each end to conect copper to pvc. good luck.
If it's a drain pipe you can get the same stuff they use on hoses to stop leaks. You just spray it on and it will seal the pin holes. You'll find this at your local hardware store.
1. The cold air intake is an air intake where the filter is closer to the floor. The air below the engine is much cooler than the air by the engine which means it more dense. the more air you pull in the better. Also, since the filter is closer to the floor driving through water is a bad idea as water getting sucked into your air intake is very bad. 2. Air filters catch all the dirt and other particles from the air that your engine is sucking in. Some filters are better at others because they allow your engine to suck in air more easily. 3. Short Ram intake has a shorter pipe than the cold air intake. It draws in warmer air since the filter on these is closer to the engine. And you can only have one type of air intake at a time. Have fun tuning
Air filter is use to filter solid particles from entering your engine. Cold air intake; brings cool air into the engine. It increases engine efficient and performance. Cold air has a higher density so it contain more oxygen volume than warmer air. There is a good possibility to hydro-lock because it is closer to the ground compare to to stock air intake. And its louder. Short Ram; brings in warm air (air from the engine area). Better fuel economy(mpg) People with force induction will benefit with this setup. You can put on any of these. Cold air intake usually takes a bit longer to install, might need to remove the front bumper. All of the intake(oem and aftermarket) has an air filter. You can have one intake at a time. EDIT: If you will be driving through a lot of puddle, driving a lot in the rain or dont want to spend much money on an intake go with a kn reusable air filter. I will either go with an cold air intake or an aftermarket air filter. Don't go with any cheap setup.
