I just ate 3 flinstone vitamins (chewable) and then read on the package that they contain iron and no child or adult should eat more than 1 per day so will I be ok? Each vitamin has 15mg of iron. I also ate a huge piece of chicken and had cinnamon on my toast (cinnamon contains iron) earlier today. I‘m female, 28, 150lbs. Is it ok??
I bought 25 feet of 10-2 non-metallic wire for $27. Most house wiring is 12-2 which is cheaper. I guess you should be thinking of a few hundred.
my mom has to much iron in her body, its called hemocromatosis, I dought that what you ate ws to much iron, but if you start to loose hair, (which is one of the symptoms) Then I suggest you go get a blood test at the hospital, but I dought you have to much iron.
Drink lots of water and you should be OK this time but be more careful in the future because you can overdose on vitamins and have some serious side effects.
5-10% dietary iron is absorbed. 60% if taken in a supplement like a vitamin. vit. c will incrase the absorbtion. dairy decreases absorbtion. a adult dose of ferrous fumarate(iron) is 200mg per day, ferrous gluconate(iron) is 325mg/day, ferrous sulfate(iron) is 325/day and elemental iron 50-100mg/day. so i would say you are problably fine. early signs of toxicity are: stomach pain, fever, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea. late signs blue lips/fingernails/palms, drowiness, weakness, fast heart rate(above 100/min.) can cause seizure, liver failure, heart collapse, GI bleeding, shock, intestinal obstuction so if you have any sympotoms go to the ER. i would probably lay off the vitamins for a few days. extra iron is stored in the fat not excrexed in the urine (water wont work) so you don't want to take too much. next time read directions before you swallow :). good luck.
The only one who can tell you that is a person who's seen the job and has given you a quote. Anything anyone else says means nothing.
