Question:

Desktop cpu into a laptop?

I have a Dell Inspiron 1150 that can support a 2.80ghz intel pentiom 4. But its got a 2.40ghz Celeron processor. I have a desktop with a 2.90ghz celeron d processor. Laptop is an 2004 but the desktop is a 2005. If they had the same numbers or pins would it fit in my laptop? And even if my laptop will not use 2.90 ghz it will divide it down to what it can use. I'm keeping this laptop bc it works like its brand new.

Answer:

Laptop CPUs are not interchangable for desktop CPUs. Most laptop CPUs are built into the motherboard.
No, these cpu's are not interchangeable. You might find a used 2.80ghz Intel Pentium 4 on OKorder.
