We just spread butter and sprinkle garlic powder over the butter, toast lightly (not garlic salt).

nooo cream cheese ewww just combine room temperature butter(unsalted or unsalted), herbs such as rosemary, basil etc whatever u like herbs usuaually derive of preferance, minced garlic and just spread it over the bread and flash it in the oven or else the garlic will have too sharp of a flavour garlic, cooking the garlic will carmalize the sugars in the garlic give it a nicer mild flavour
