Here's a website that should help you out.
I'm not 100% sure but for questions 1-4, 9 and 10, you are correctAs for the other questions: 5D- Adjective phrases are phrases that play the role of an adjective-they describe a noun or a pronounOption D has on the hawk's tail describing the noun color6I unfortunately don't know what the answer is, although I'm bordering on the thought that there is no correct answer7B- First you must identify the prepositional phrasesThen find out what the phrases are modifyingbit was as abundant before the 1700's- The prepositional phrase there is before the 1700's and the word being modified that when further identified, is classified as an adjective, since it describes it8A- (unsure) Same thing as no7, but this time the word being modified must be an adverb-a word modifying a word, an adjective or a fellow adverbthe temperature really dropped after sundown- I identified really as the adverb describing the verb dropped but I'm not sure on whether the prepositional phrase after sundown is describing it or notAgain, I am not sure about all my answers but I hope I helped.
1-4 I think you are right5 I think is D because it is adjective phrase so that phrase has to describe the noun in front of itAnd on the hawks tail describes the color7I think is Bbefore the 1700's is the prep phraseand i think abundant is an adj8 is CI think because in the night is a prep phrase and late is an adverb and A describes a verb, and B and D describe nouns9 I think you are right because up is the adv10 I think is D because the preposition is inThe one I'm not sure on is 6 but I think it is A thoughBut adverbs are things that answer how, when, where, how much, and how oftenGood lucky!
