Question:

Difference between Laptops?

I was questioning the difference between all of the laptops. My current laptop is an asus with an i3 and it runs fine, but my new school's laptop requirements are higher. When trying to decide which laptop, my friend told me that there was no difference between them and my laptop would be fine.I feel like the specs on my current laptop are nowhere near the requirements, but should i get one? What's the difference?Keep in mind this is all for schoolwork too.

Answer:

All laptops are definitely not the same. There can be so many differences between them. There are many different components inside a laptop which can be different. Like you said, your laptop's processor is an i3. There are hundred different processors that a laptop can have, for instance: - i5 (there are many different kinds of i5's as well) - i7 (there are many different kinds of i7's as well) - AMD Laptops differ in the amount and speed of RAM (memory) Laptops differ in the size and speed of HDD (Hard Disk Drives) Different laptops have different GPU's (Graphics Processing Units) Size of the screen/monitor differs so, nutshell, laptops differ Your school probably requires you to install certain software(s) on your laptops for school-work and some of those may not install on certain laptops that do not fulfill the system requirements of those particular software.
