well you should have asked this when you were there. The difference is the UV rays. The regular beds are mostly like the sun. They can burn you but help keep you from burring outside in the sun. The other beds are a different UV and they will not burn you and will bronze you more. However, these will also give you the orange look if used all the time. I use a mixture of the both. I go twice in a regular and once in the other a week but I will drop down to once a week in the regular and once a month in the other as soon as I get a good color I want to maintain. Happy Tanning!
Different beds have different bulbs/mirrors/facials in them. The ''normal beds'' most likely have regular bulbs with more UVB(this is the burning ray) they do not tan you deeply and your tan will fade more quickly than with the higher beds. The tropical beds most likely have more UVA rays which go deeper into the skin and your tan will last longer assuming that you keep your skin moisturized. All salons are different and offer different brands of bulbs, ask them what the ratio is of UVA/UVBA in the different beds, what kind of bulbs they use/how often they change them. Its good to be an informed tanner. ** moisturize your skin before AND after you go tanning. Your tan will get darker/last longer this way.
okay first of all you have got these beds in order I'll try wolf ( regular ) - more like the sun, more of the burning rays ruva, tropical ( whatever else names they have - more tanning rays then burning ultra ruva, big bear, turbo- very little burning rays then they even have beds that are immpossible to burn in. I would sugest you start with the regular bed, to get your base, since its most like the sun you will see more color at first. then once you get the base use the tropical. the higher up the bed the less of the burning rays you get. thats why it costs more
