I need to put a new quart in about every 2 months. I don‘t see any smoke at startup ordriving, and there‘s no oil stains in the driveway.
Every 2 months is not bad, should be about due for a change near then. How many miles on the car? how many miles everytime you add oil? make and model, and year of car would also help.
My family swears by Lucas oil treatment, actually any lucas additive. I loose a quart every 500 miles, unless I use it. huge improvement.
The ONLY additive I would use is SFR. They are the ones that invented most of the technologies for additives and are not just some marketing company like lucas oil or slick 50.
