I got a sofa made for my hall and it arrived yesterday 12 inches short!.. It has a square side table. Is there any tricks that I could use to make my sofa look longer from the 2 sides. I placed the table on one side instead of the center to give it a longer look. Anything else that i can do?
Side tables on either side of the sofa with red and mustard decor items (vases, candy dish, etc.). That way the end tables will tie in with the sofa.
You could get 2 side tables in the same color or similar color to keep next to each end of the sofa. This would create the illusion of length. Also use pillows and similar or ligher colors if u have to use any. If you get a long narrow coffee table to keep in front of the sofa, this too would help. The Asian long tables that are low could look good.
How about using stripes somehow? Maybe in some throw pillows? How about a mirror strategical placed on a wall beside? Hope that will give you something. Maybe placing a table beside it that is the same height as the cushions?
