Renters rights are pretty paltry in NYCI haven't had any experience with NYCHA but even in Forest Hills I had constant problems with 1 and 4 and the outcome of it was that despite my complaints the problem persisted and I was not allowed to even leave until my lease terminatedIm sure what I was dealing with was a pittance compared to what you had to put up with but to the slightest degree I can relate.
Yep, I can relateI also grew up in the Projects I was there from 5 years old to my teensIt was a rough place, very dangerous, but you sure learn the ways of the streets I was a white kid that only had black and Puerto Rican friendsTheir homes were my home, their Moms and Dads looked out for me while my mom workedGrowing up like this eliminates any racism, you learn that good and bad folks come in all colors and from all cultures.
