Question:

Do candles and insense set off smoke detectors?

I like the light candles and insense, but I'm in my basemesnt an Im worried they'll set off the smoke detector. I'm about 10 feet away from it.The candles I'm only worried about when I blow them out. But the insense is continuous smoke. Is anything going to happen?

Answer:

You containing an outfit for my soon to be son. It is not something I would ever pick out for him on my own or even really want him to wear, but I appreciate it anyway and when she visits I will make sure to have him in it. LOL I am not trying to make you feel bad, but there are so many people who literally have nothing and while thats not really your problem I guess maybe it may help for you to put things into perspective. Luckily you are one of the fortunate ones who's child's grandmother is alive and will be part of their life. Not everyone has that, especially one who buys them gifts and wants to help.
Hee hee hee. since this is your FIRST baby I can understand, and even relate, to your post. But TRUST ME when I say that in a few years, after having spent a small fortune on kids clothes and toys that wind up stained and destroyed, you will be WELCOMING your MIL's generous gifts. I know it doesn't seem that way now since your still in the everything has to be absolutely perfect for my sweet little angel phase, but trust me. One day you'll look back and think how silly this was. Good luck! ;o)
umm she's buying you this for your baby shower or for your already born baby?? The first 3 months when baby's skin is very delicate i only dressed her in new clothes washed in baby detergent, however once i saw how fast she goes through the clothes we decided second-hand is the way to go. first of all how many times can a baby wear a onsie? they usually grow out of the small sizes SOOO FAST. Secondly, you wash it, so it's not like you have to put it on dirty. Lastly, if you just don't like it, give it away. I received a couple of things from second-hand stores from my MIL that i didn't like because they were polyester- i only use cotton- so i gave them away, no big deal. in terms of dressing the baby yourself, try not to see the baby as a fashion accessory. Yes, use her pretty outfits when you go out, but what's the big deal of wearing second hand around the house or at the park where they ruin their clothes anyway. It's really not such a terrible thing. Think of all the mothers who don't have enough clothes for their babies or who have to make their own or carry them around half naked. Really, your situation is not that dire unless you compare yourself with ridiculously extravagant people like JLo.
open up the door panel from the inside, reach to the door lock you can find there's a small and thin nut that is locking the door lock to the door. unscrew it, then there is a metal rod connecting to the doors lock and unlock button, disconnect it, that should do the job that you ask. Hope it helps, Merry Christmas.
Ok let me just say my grandmother does the exact same thing and I know how you feel. Except fot the safety things. I'd rather have those bought new. I want my new baby to have new things. My mother in law does try to give me my husbands old toys though. They also tried to give me his crib, and he is 25 years old. As for your mother in law just tell her to give you the money instead or tell her exactly what you need from where. Or just go shopping with her and whenever she ask you if you like something at a garage sell tell her no. To everything.
