I've seen these big plastic tubes in pet stores recently and the box for them says that they are meant for guinea pigs. I don't understand I thought guinea pigs like big places to hide not little spaces where they can't move freely. But maybe I'm wrong, do guinea pigs really like them?
Guinea pigs love tubes as they feel safe in them and like to sleep in them. If your guinea pig likes to chew things i would recommend getting an edible one, made from willow or wood. If it doesn't then a plastic one would be fine.
yea most rodents like tubes and are curious i had a guinea pig and it would always go through a tube that i put in its cage just get a tube out of hard material becuase it will chew it up
I thought at first that my guinea pigs would like the tubes but when I got a tube for them they would go and sit in it or chew it. If I was you I would not waste your money, they would rather be taken out of their cages and held.
Guinea pigs like pretty big tubes but you don't need to pay rip-off pet store prices for them. Oatmeal containers with the top and bottom cut off work great. Go by the dumpster of a carpet store and grab a section of the cardboard tube they roll the carpet on and cut it to a good length. You can go to one of the big box hardware stores and get a plastic pipe elbow for 6 plastic pipe. The piglets love going round the corner! Hope this helps
Yes they do like them they also like to lie down in them and just sit there as sometimes small spaces help them feel secure and safe. Some guinea pigs would like them more than others but as long as it is big enough though for your guinea pigs to actually move through without getting stuck but small enough so they can feel secure then it should be fine.
