i have 2 hedgehogs i use paper bedding for but do they really NEED bedding at all? they dont poop like rodents so why not as long as i have towels for them to burrow in? i put towels in their tubs already. would it be okay if i use no bedding at all, they have a plastic bottomed cage.
It wouldn't hurt the hedgehog not to have bedding but it's best to have something down. If your hedgehog gets a touch cold he can snuggle up in his bedding, he can play in it and hide in it. I use Carefresh for bedding and it does cost allot but it's worth it. My hedgehogs love it.
