Question:

Do i have to put all the recyclable items in the recycle bin or is there other way?

I used to recycle my garbage into 5 categories: plastics, aluminum, glass, paper, and organic waste. But since i didn't have a recycle bin(because i don't know where to get them, i live in a small town, and not a lot of people know about this), i used to put the bags in the normal WM binThen my friend told me that i wasn't really helping because i wasn't putting the divided garbage on recycle bins, so i decided i was going to stop doing it until i figure where can i get the recycle bin, but i really want to help the environment, so i feel bad because i stop, so my question is, do i help by just dividing the garbage adn putting it in the WM bin or do i necessary have to put it in the recycle bin to help the environment????Do you know other ways to recycle when you don't know where to get the bins???Thanks in advance

Answer:

First in 1973 Harley did not make a rigid frame, so please double check your yearAluminum is a bad idea, it won't hold upWe recommend Steel .125 wall, DOM (seamless) Or if you have Exwelding skills, Chrome Moly tubing is much lighter and stronger.
Aluminum frames are used in racing bikes but they have heavy castings and the correct grades of aluminummany street bikes have aluminum parts however they are carefully engineered for strengthI would not duplicate a frame made of steel out of aluminumThe welding would have to be perfect as would be the correct materialSteel is easier to weld and less prone to crackingWould you really save that much weight that it is worth the effort and possible danger? A rigid frame suffers more impact stress which makes it less a candidate for your projectTitanium would be perfect but the cost is prohibitive.
Motorcycle Frame Tubing
Your friends rightBy WM just takes garbage to the dumpIt depends on how your city handles recycling to know what to doIn my town there's a parking lot with three big dumpsters with different sections labeled glass, aluminum, paper, and so forthSo we separate our own recyclables and drive them to the bins to drop offI know other places do it differently thoughMaybe if you contact WM they can give you more information or refer you to someone who canThanks for recycling!
